Outdoor Worship Services
Sunday mornings at 10 AM
Weekly services are held outside in our parking lot. Bring a lawn chair, maybe an umbrella for shade, a mask if you wish. We practice social distancing while worshipping God together with song, scripture, message, and prayer.
Sundays at 10 AM -- anytime at all
For those who prefer to stay home or cannot make it to a weekly service, we have an online worship option. Videos premier on our FaceBook page at 10 AM on Sundays. Or you can find them here, along with our children's moment, later in the week.
Sundays at BDUMC are a great way to start your week right… connected with our Creator and Lord. Through song, thoughtful proclamation of the Word of God, and deep prayer, we truly worship God every Sunday morning.
We recently combined our two worship services to make one service at 10 AM that brings everyone together. We sing traditional hymns from the United Methodist Hymnal, we usually sing a newer Christian song, and we sometimes throw in some Southern Gospel. Hymns are accompanied by a pianist.
Although we have a fairly young congregation, we don't use a screen. Actually, it was our youngest folks who requested keeping the worship space screen-free. They felt they get enough of screens in their daily lives. Folks who worship at our church like the feeling that they are “coming home”… either to a church that feels like the little country church they grew up in or to the church home that they always dreamed could exist.
Although we worship in traditional style, don’t expect to be bored. There’s a lot of theological content and genuine worship of God in our traditional services. We put a strong focus on developing services that ring out a single message, tying together sermon, music, and prayer into a message of a faith you can live each day.
